The IIC&M recently announced it’s new membership level in the press release As a Coach or Mentor ‘Professional’ is the new level to achieve! We take this opportunity to congratulate Suzie Doscher PSC for becoming the first IIC&M Professional Member.
Suzie successfully upgraded her Accreditation status and then submitted her Continuing Professional Development. She was successful and becomes the First Professional Senior Coach (IIC&M). What does this mean? Achieving the ‘Professional’ status, demonstrates that individuals are not only an accredited coach or mentor, but critically that they value the importance of enhancing their knowledge, skills and ability to better serve their clients. ‘Professional’ status goes beyond accreditation and establishes a level of ongoing professional competence.
CPD allows individuals to demonstrate their professional commitment to their own career. It enhances their profile and provides them with the opportunity to add additional value for their client base.

Hi Suzie, tell us a little bit about your Coaching or Mentoring,
What is your coaching or mentoring niche?Personal development. I believe we never stop growing and developing, be this on an intellectual or emotional level. Personal development is my passion because I have witnessed not only in my own life but also professionally how wonderful it is to always know you can handle whatever comes your way with the skills you learn while developing yourself.
What is your coaching or mentoring strapline?“Where there is a will, there is a way.”
How would you describe your coaching or mentoring style?Open, empathetic, non-judgmental and intuitive.
What types of coaching or mentoring do you provide?Face to face, Skype, email follow up and support.
Which clients or type of clients do you work with?Mostly individuals looking to improve how they handle themselves, people looking for answers and open to see there is a bigger picture in life, anybody ready to make the changes necessary with their willingness to self reflect and apply themselves. Younger people (20-30’s) seem to be attracted to me but also business people who want time with a neutral outsider who has nothing to teach them but offers support.
What is your mantra or favourite saying? One step at a time gets you to the top of the ladder.
What would you say to someone who is considering coaching or mentoring? How do you feel about growing into your skin which means becoming a better version of how you are now?
What is the reason clients should work with you?I am not locked into methods, systems and tools. I do not believe people’s issues can be fixed but putting them all in the same box, instead I listen between the lines and utilize my intuition to uncover the sometimes hidden blocks or obstacles. Clients tell me they feel instant trust and support. Having applied all growth and life skills I offer my clients to my own life, I know what is possible!
Suzie and I worked together over the course of just two brief sessions to map out and analyze a number of issues that were preventing me from reaching my full potential at work and at home. Through a very simple and logical process, Suzie coached me through the process of understanding my priorities and then the process of developing a plan to achieve my goals. It has made a significant difference to my work and also my personal contentment.

A little bit about You!Born in New York, moved to Switzerland in 1961. My father was in charge of marketing an American corporation coming to Europe. We were one of the first families to come over. My education was a combination of the local swiss school system followed by an international high school – my father said he felt we should also be able to read and write English. At that point our schooling was all in german with French being the secondary language, Italian the 3rd…in those days English was not on the horizon. At 19 I moved to London to study Interior Design found out that as much as I love design I was not cut out for it. Moved to San Francisco, back to Switzerland, back to London, on to New York at that point married to a banker, back to London, on to Dorset and finally back to Switzerland in 2006 to start again as a qualified Coach! No longer married, children Tomas (30) & Ally (28). Happier than ever! Would not change a thing but could have used some life skills along the way! My international upbringing familiarized me with cross-cultural life styles. Subsequently I enjoy an international client base. I live in Switzerland, still divide my time between Switzerland, England and the US.
From my desire that everyone have access to simple techniques helping them move through life’s challenging situations ‘Balance – A Practical Handbook for Life’s Difficult Moments‘.
